The purpose of the Western States Boating Administrators Association is to identify and share best practices in boating education, law enforcement, search and rescue, and waterway management; promote greater uniformity in boating laws; encourage cooperation between boating agencies and organizations; advance interstate cooperation and efficiency in administration, law enforcement, and search and rescue activities; and serve as a forum for discussing existing and proposed laws and other boating safety issues of mutual concern in the west.
